Tātai Ora specialises in empowering sporting communities to strengthen whānau resilience to prevent family violence, suicide and improve mental and emotional wellbeing through provision of kaupapa Māori initiatives and support services. Our Vision: Sport is a seed for change - nurturing stronger whānau and communities. Our Mission: Empowering whānau to attain their sense of mana motuhake. Our Values: Aroha - Tika - Pono. We believe that every whānau holds the potential to realise their ‘mana motuhake’, by becoming the greatest version of themselves. We walk alongside whānau, step by step, to help them break down the barriers and overcome the kinds of fears that hold all of us back from reaching our full potential. That is the real kaupapa of Tātai Ora. Tātai Ora DOES NOT deliver sport, we merely connect with whānau and community within sporting, recreational and cultural settings. We are a social and health service provider who specialises in working in sporting environments.
