The Wellington Orchid Society Incorporated

To encourage the cultivation and study of Orchids among it's members and the general public. To improve and extend the breeding, cultivation and study of orchids. To disseminate knowledge of orchids and the growing of orchids by means of publications of all kinds, promotion of displays, exhibitions, demonstrations, scientific research, international co-operation, conventions and all other appropriate activities including the judging of orchids and the provision of awards. To raise funds to assist the foregoing objects. To encourage the preservation of all native orchids in their natural habitat. To do all such things which are incidental to or ancillary to the fulfilling of these objects.
