The TYLA Trust

The TYLA Trust (“TYLA”) works with tamariki as young as nine years old to help support them to make positive, sustainable choices through an intense social work and youth work case management approach. TYLA looks at the individual needs of each tamariki or rangatahi using various TYLA therapeutic mentoring engagement modules. TYLA believes in a strengths-based social work methodology that will assist in long term positive changes; including preventing offending, reducing offending, and limiting the risk-taking behaviour. TYLA ultimately believes in early intervention and longer-term engagement to address the generational trauma and effects that this has on our most vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi.
