The South Malvern Community Trust

The primary purpose of the Trust is to support charitable, cultural, philanthropic, educational, recreational and other activities that are beneficial to the Whitecliffs/South Malvern community. The main mission is to benefit the community of Whitecliffs by fund raising to purchase, repair, and maintain the Category 2 Heritage NZ listed South Malvern School and preserve its historic status. The intention, once the property is restored to a useable standard, is to be able to offer the building to the community for social, educational, and recreational opportunities such as book club, playgroup, exercise classes, games evenings and other activities beneficial to the community. An additional mission of the Trust is to raise funds for, and to facilitate, continued tree planting along the Selwyn/Waikirikiri River & assist with development of a new cycleway into Whitecliffs village.
