The Romanes Family Trust

The intent of the Donor of the Trust is to provide recognition of the recipients in order that they may be encouraged to develop their potential and self-worth; the Trust funds will be applied to those pupils of Havelock North High School who are lacking in academic or personal achievement and for whom financial assistance will provide motivation so as to assist their growth and development towards achieving economic and social success in the community; the Trust is designed for those who are willing and who persevere but have not thus far experienced recognition and achievement whether they come from a background of financial and social disadvantage or from a socially and economically stable home; the Trust funds will generally be applied to educational or vocational advancement but may be applied to personal cultural physical or social development of any individual provided such application is likely to enhance that individual's sense of self-worth and personal achievement.
