The New Zealand Coastal Trust

The central purposes of the Trust are to facilitate: • sustainable management of coastal land • the purchase and management of coastal land for protection purposes whether by the Trustees or by any another entity having similar objects or purposes as the Trust; • the protection of coastal land and the restoration of coastal natural processes and habitats; and • the provision of public coastal recreational and interpretative facilities and public access to and along the coast of New Zealand; and • the promotion of public awareness and education about the better management and protection of coastal land.
