The Kawhia Community Projects Trust

The purpose of the Trust is to be of benefit to the township of Kawhia and its inhabitants and marae associated with Kawhia ('the community') by (without limitation) providing for and assisting in and promoting the development of new and the enhancement of: (i) existing community facilities; (ii) the safety and protection of the community; (iii) cultural, economic, educational activities and facilities; (iv) recreation and leisure facilities providing they are in the interests of the general social welfare of the community; (v) such other purposes as the Trustees consider will benefit the community. In attaining its purposes, the Trust shall recognise the views and expectations of tangata whenua.
