The Inspiring Communities Trust

Our vision is an Aotearoa where all communities are at the centre of creating and implementing change to improve their own hauora (wellbeing). We are building a platform for successful CLD in Aotearoa at both community and system level. Meet our board, our team and our supporters. Connection and collaboration is foundational to everything we do. We help make things easier for communities to work in locally-led ways – together. We believe that communities know best about what works for them and what they need to create and implement change to improve their own hauora. We share local wisdom and practice-based evidence to inform public policy and systems change. We focus our mahi around our four hekenga (pathways); capability building, evolving knowledge, influencing change, and ensuring sustainability. Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou ka ora ai te Inspiring Communities has been working since 2008 to grow the recognition, understanding and practice of community-led development in NZ.
