The Good Registry Trust

What do we do? The Good Registry enables anyone,from small kids to big corporations, to put the heart back into giving with charitable donations instead of unwanted gifts. Our three-pronged purpose is to simplify giving, help good causes and reduce waste. Why do we do it? Gift giving is embedded in our culture, but is losing its heart as it becomes more complex, expected and commercialised. We all have and receive too much'stuff' that is never used or valued, and too often gift giving adds to that. Our vision is a world where every gift counts: where people are thinking differently about why they give and what they give, and where most people have the opportunity to experience the joy of less unwanted stuff and more generosity in their lives. If every New Zealander replaced one $10 gift with a donation to a good cause (e.g. with one of our Good Gift-cards), that would be $47 million of Goodness! The Good Registry began operations in November 2017.
