The Christchurch Jazz Foundation Trust

The purposes of the Trust are to: • Create public awareness, promote appreciation and knowledge of music with opportunities for the public of all ages to experience local performances. • To promote and support music performances. • Provide opportunity for local, national and international musicians to get together, play together and to learn from each other. • To initiate and facilitate tuition and professional development such as workshops and other educational events. • Enable performances in Christchurch from performers with International standing for the benefit and growth of our local audiences and musicians. While the focus of the Trust is primarily on jazz music, the purposes are deliberately broad to support a variety of genres of music to encourage musicians on numerous paths they may take.
