The Change Place Incorporated

The Change Place provides services in Rodney, focused on stopping family violence by providing support to both users of violence and victim-survivors of family violence, including tamariki & rangatahi. The Change Place works with whanau impacted by family violence. We work with men, women, youth & children, working to heal the entire family, to stop intergenerational violence. Our work with users of family violence allows them to recognise unwanted, controlling, or abusive patterns of behaviour and to develop positive and empowering ways of interacting and building respectful relationships. Our work with women focuses on creating safety for themselves and their children and empowers and supports them to live free of violence and abuse . Children and young people receive support to process and heal from complex trauma resulting from the impacts of violence and abuse. We collaborate to upskill other professionals around family violence and community understanding.
