The purpose of the foundation is to improve the care, treatment, and quality of life of critically ill people in New Zealand through research grants for projects in areas of intensive care and critical illness or issues related to those subjects, promoting awareness and education in the general community about intensive care and critical illness or issues relating to those subjects; delivering high-quality professional training and education to intensive care staff.
