To carry out, in accordance with the customs, rules and usages of the Jewish faith the preparation for burial of deceased persons entitled hereto. To assist with and arrange burials in accordance with the customs, rules and usages of the Jewish faith. To administer and supervise Jewish Cemeteries, and any buildings thereon, including such land and buildings for and on behalf of the Auckland Hebrew Congregation. To regulate in Jewish Cemeteries the inscription, consecration and design of all monuments erected in such cemeteries. To assist the Auckland Hebrew Congregation and its members in ways considered by the Board to be appropriate. To provide assistance to Jewish persons and/or organisations in need in such manner as the Board considers appropriate.
