To contribute to the prevention and minimisation of gambling related harm. To promote well-being with an emphasis on the principles of te Ao Māori. To facilitate a process through which iwi, hapu, whānau and Māori communities are able to determine their own strategies to reduce gambling related harm and promote wellness. To raise awareness of the effects and impact of gambling on Māori and the wider Hawke's Bay community. To network and support activities which reduce gambling harm amongst iwi, hapu and whānau. To participate in research which identifies the incidence, prevalence and nature of gambling amongst Māori and inform strategies aimed at reducing harm from gambling.
