Advance the charitable purposes set out in the rules as set out below. (a) To negotiate on behalf of the hapu of Putiki and other hapu of the Whanganui district (“the beneficiaries) the return of Harbour Board Endowment land held by the Whanganui District Council (“the primary object”). (b) To obtain any necessary mandates from the beneficiaries to achieve the primary object. (c) To enter into discussions with any group, body, organisation, person or persons, or entity, which may assist in achieving the primary object. (d) To establish or implement a research unit for the achievement of the primary object. (e) To finalise any agreement or contract on behalf of the beneficiaries upon achievement of the primary object. (f) To pursue other objects of a charitable nature which may be conveniently carried on with the above objects directly or indirectly for the benefit of the beneficiaries.
