Te Pū Harakeke - Community Collective Manawatū Incorporated

The purpose of Te Pū Harakeke is to provide leadership to the community sector in the Manawatū, and to encourage, facilitate, and empower community and social services by: promoting connection, collaboration, and information-sharing between community and social service organisations; facilitating the building of the capability and capacity of community and social service organisations; researching the needs of community and social service organisations, community development, and social wellbeing generally; advocating on behalf of community and social service organisations to local and central government, national bodies, and other stakeholders; and undertaking any other activities consistent with these objectives, including the distribution of funds as available. Our vision is to see a strong, vibrant and connected community sector in the Manawatū. Our mission is to empower community groups to participate in and contribute to the community and its wellbeing.
