Te Korowai Aroha Whanau Services Trust

Ngā Tikanga o Te Korowai Aroha Whānau Services is a kaupapa Māori community service that has been established in the community since 1993. The organisation is committed to a kaupapa of Manaakitāngata or supporting people. Te Korowai Aroha Whānau Services considers its fundamental strength to be the provision of services that are embedded in a kaupapa Māori philosophy. Fundamental to this philosophy are the key virtues of Ngā Takepū (Pohatu, 2010) that guide us in the work we do. These are Te Whakakoha Rangatira/ Respectful Relationships, āhurutanga/ Safe Space, Kaitiakitanga/ Responsible Trusteeship, Tau-kumekume/ Tension: Positive & Negative and Tino Rangatiratanga/ Absolute Integrity.
