To promote and protect the health of Defence and First Responder personnel who have been physically wounded or injured whilst serving in such a capacity or who suffer mental distress or illness as a result of having served in such a capacity, through the provision of facilities, equipment, services or assistance for rehabilitation, recovery and/or care of such personnel and/or their dependents who are in need.
