To promote, protect and preserve New Zealand’s natural environment, biodiversity and ecological resilience by: (a) working towards restoring native flora and fauna of freshwater bodies and the surrounding landscape by planting native vegetation and suppressing weeds and pests; (b)translocating and supporting threatened species thereby enabling native fauna and flora to flourish on land and in the rivers. To work with iwi, hapū, and the community to achieve these long-term sustainable objectives.
