Te Ao Marama Incorporated

Te Ao Marama Incorporated (hereafter referred to as TAMI) is established for the following charitable objects and purposes within New Zealand: (a) to assist ngā Rūnanga to manage and respond to Environmental Management issues under the Resource Management Act 1991 as they relate to them; and (b) to assist ngā Rūnanga to ensure their rights and obligations (as relevant to the Ngāi Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1988) under the Resource Management Act 1991 and the Local Government Act 2002 are met in an effective and comprehensive manner, subject to the extent of the mandate from ngā Rūnanga and always having regard to the concerns and interests of ngā Rūnanga.
