For the retention of a community based facility in Tapawera. The Tapawera Community Centre is used as a meeting place for community meetings, activities and local events. The Tapawera and Districts Community Council Inc operates an Op-Shop from the Community Centre which is run solely by volunteers, the funds from the op-Shop is returned to various sectors of the community in the form of grants.
