Taiohi Morehu

Taiohi Morehu is a youth leadership organisation that aims to foster young leaders as catalysts to positively influence behaivour within whanau, schools and communities. This is done through delivering messages around social issues that affect young people through drama, dance, kapahaka and productions. Taiohi Morehu means Young Survivors - its aims are to: To foster environments for young leaders to influence positive social behaivours in schools, whanau and communities. To connect with communities to change attitudes and behaivours that are impeding on the development and advancement of whanau To support and encourage taiohi to raise awareness of social issues impacting on whanau within their communities To support and encourage Taiohi to undertake education and promotion initiatives that support whanau ora To support and encourage Taiohi to lead and develop strategies for whanau ora in their schools, communities and homes To support and encourage the use of Te Reo
