Stratford Parents Centre Incorporated

A voluntary organisation set up by parents for parents, in 1952. Educate in birth and parenting, support parents in their role, and advocate to improve community attitudes and facilities Stratford Parents Centre supports 'early years' initatives. It is a volunteer organisation run by parents for parents. The purpose is to educate and support parents in the local community. Offering education and support services which aim to meet the needs of as many parents in the community as possible, but more particularly parents-to-be and those during early parenting years. Our mission statement is"positive birth experiences and informed parenting in a community where parents are supported and highly valued in their role". Stratford Parents Centre also offers regular playgroups which offer support to families/whanau who often feel isolated and children benefit from learnign through play
