Special Olympics Nelson Trust

We provide quality year-round training and competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving those athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, skills, self-confidence and social interaction through sports. This in turn, strengthens families and communities through participation and observation of Special Olympics activities, increasing understanding, and creating an environment of equality, respect and acceptance.
