Special Olympics Canterbury Trust

The purpose of the Trust will be to provide training and competition opportunities in sports for people with Intellectual Disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community, primarily with the geographic area of Canterbury, being north of the Rakaia River and south of the Waimakariri River.
