Mission: We work to relieve the impacts of poverty and promote wellbeing within Southland. We provide accurate and up to date information, advocacy and representation. We work primarily for the benefit of low-income workers and beneficiaries. This includes consulting with local, regional and national government agencies, and community organisations. We work to connect low income and beneficiaries with the support needed to assist them in times of distress and to achieve their aspirations. If our clients need representation with MSD that takes place at application time and when clients are requesting supplementary assistance including services and and items. We will represent clients at internal review, at benefit review hearings and at the Social Security Appeal Authority. Further, clients that are in receipt of the supported living payment also get representation if required at medical appeal board level. We do not charge for our services.

Financial data as at June 2025. Sourced from Charities Services register.
Charities Services Tier 3/4 reporting allows smaller charities to file a summary annual-return form rather than separately audited financial statements. The return reports totals but not the program/administration split or the line-item detail our template needs. No red flags were detected in what was filed, and revenue is below the $1M threshold at which audited accounts are expected. A letter grade is withheld rather than assigning one that would be driven by the template-fit, not the charity's operations. The charity's filed figures are shown above.
