Samuel Kirkpatrick (Estate)

The Charitable Trust was set up to pay an income in perpetuity for the purposes as outlined in the Will. The Kirkpatrick Masonic Trust Empowering Act 1998 updated the purpose so that the Board of Governors of Kirkpatrick House is to receive distributions of income from the Trust. The Board applies the income towards the education, accommodation, maintenance, advancement or benefit of any female, nominated by the Lodge or other Masonic body, who is in a position of need because of the death, illness or misfortune of either, or both of her parents.
