-educate the public about kiwi and other threatened species -increase the population of those threatened native species on the Russell peninsular -maintain the native biota still present on the Russell peninsular and reintroduce native species formerly present but now locally extinct -undertake the control of invasive alien flora and fauna on the Russell peninsular, which are detrimental to native biota -undertake the restoration of native vegetation in areas where intensive weed control has been completed -promote conservation generally and use of native plants in gardens and on other private lands
