Ruapehu Ski Club Incorporated

We are a ski club which encourage skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, mountain exploration, alpine sporting, tramping. We promote and develop individual capability, competencies, skills, understanding and community responsibility, developing the character of young people. We protect and conserve native flora and fauna. We encourage social intercourse between members and promotion of good fellowship with members of similar clubs in NZ and other countries. We provide children from lower decile schools on a school by school basis, the opportunity to enjoy a 4 day mountain and ski experience via the "Ski for Life" program. This program is provided free of charge to the children and is designed to help them grow in confidence and self esteem in an environment they may not otherwise be able to experience.
