Ruakapanga Marae Reserve [Hauiti Marae]

In 1961 the Proprietors of Part Paramata No 4 set aside over 4 acres of Maori Freehold Land for the common use and benefit of the beneficial owners of the land. The Reservation is within the area between Hauiti Road extending to the Uawa River. Hauiti Ruakapanga Marae is of special significance as a turangawaewae , as members of Te Aitanga a Hauiti iwi; as a place to host our guests or, to convene hui, or any other such activity as approved or authorized by the Trustees
