About
For the benefit of the Canterbury Museum for the support and functioning of the Geology Section of the Museum: - To promote and assist in the advancement of geology and geological studies and activities at the Museum - For the benefit of the public by providing monies, plant, equipment, books, materials and things for the use of or expenditure by the Museum in respect of its Geology Section - By the provision of grants, monies and the like for geological displays, public lectures and exhibitions, field work, attendances by Museum staff or other appointed persons at meetings and seminars - Support of visiting scientists, acquisition of geological specimens and for travel for geological purposes - For the attendance of persons at any course of study and encouragement of geological studies and provisions of scholarships and bursaries for the advancement of geology - For any other or further purposes as shall be recommended to the Board of Trustees by the Curator of Geology at the Museum.
