Rangiwewehi Charitable Trust

The purpose of the Rangiwewehi Charitable Trust is to provide social, cultural, educational, and environmental programs and administrative support to realize the aspiration of Rangiwewehitanga, the advancement of Rangiwewehi people as Ngati Rangiwewehi. This is encapsulated within the tribal vision statement, E tu ana a Ngati Rangiwewehi, which articulates our future as confident whanau, hapu and iwi, firmly grounded in our cultural identity, expressing and exercising our Tino Rangiwewehitanga, and sharing the fruits of that with the world. As such, the Rangiwewehi Charitable Trust mission is to develop, oversee, administrate and/or facilitate any programs or opportunities which empower the aspirations of Tino Rangatiratanga (Sovereignty), Whakawhanaungatanga (Community Inclusion) and Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship) identified in the Trust Deed, enabling individual and collective self-sufficiency for Ngati Rangiwewehi, improved relationships with the wider community and on-going benefits
