About
1. To build and maintain those structures that enable whanau and iwi / hapu to meet together at hui, tangihanga, karakiaand hui-a-tau. 2. Recognise whakapapa and traditional history of the Marae, its iwi / hapu and whanau members and to provide a spiritual base for the practice of tikanga, kawa and waiata moteatea. 3. Provide facilities for whanau, iwi / hapu and community to meet at hui and to host manuhiri. 4. Provide a spritual base for hui and wananga to advance the cultural, spiritual, physical, educational, health and recreational needs of whanau, iwi / hapu and the community. 5. Provide support for whanau,, iwi / hapu and community members in time of need, including physical emergencies 6. Obtain resource contents to restore existing buildings; building new buildings and install amenities to enable the Marae to be fully functional. 7. Maintain the grounds, buildings and assets to a high and safe standard to comply with occupational health and safety.
