Mission
The Queen Elizabeth II Army Memorial Museum Trust operates as the National Army Museum Te Mata Toa and was established by a Deed of Trust dated 19 August 1977. The objects of the Trust are to maintain, develop and improve the Museum for the purposes of illustrating military history to the public and providing the Army with an aid for the teaching of military history. The Museum incorporates fixed and changing exhibitions, an active education programme, and a nationally significant research library and archive. The Museum is currently in the process of developing a new long-term strategy in response to a number of significant changes and opportunities within its operating environment.
