Putaruru Community Garden Trust

1 The Trust is established to be beneficial to the community of Putaruru and surrounding areas by: a) Establishing and maintaining a community garden project as a desirable community asset, a place of enjoyment, learning and achievement b) To produce quality produce using generally acceptable environmentally responsible practices, by donation of produce to members of the community in charitable need, or donation to the local Foodbank To raise funds from time to time c) To promote a community garden project supporting sound horticultural practices d) To provide support to all members of the community who wish to learn, practice and develop skills relating to horticulture. In particular to assist young people, school groups, unemployed people and community groups. e) To advance education by: i. making a facility available to allow community members to learn quality practices of high standard horticultural gardening ii. assisting community members to practice and develop skill
