The Preschool operates to provide an exciting and rich learning and teaching environment where the children and their whanau learn with and alongside each other. The Preschool aims to provide high quality early childhood education for young children, generally three-five year olds, in the local community and places priority on building and maintaining strong relationships with local groups, schools and organisations to ensure a high level of connectedness. The Preschool places a strong emphasis on learning in and with nature and on place-based education - a pedagogical approach that supports children's inherent fascination with nature, connecting learning processes and the physical environment around them.
