The purpose of the Trust is to empower tamariki mokopuna of Matakaoa and the wider Tairāwhiti region with financial literacy and to help start them on their long-term financial savings journeys, thereby contributing to the alleviation of poverty and the enrichment of lives through financial independence and empowerment.
