To provide a club environment that is welcoming and safe for people of all ages and abilities who are wanting to learn or play chess. To purchase, store and provide quality chess equipment and instruction materials for the playing of chess. To provide coaching to new players, and an annual timetable that provides competitive games for all players so that they can enjoy playing chess in a convivial atmosphere. To maintain all chess resources, including a chess library, whiteboards, trestle tables, computers and printers, clocks and sets, and repair/replace as necessary. To supply chess related assistance to our local schools, colleges and marae as and when requested.
