To be extra sets of eyes and ears for the Police in Papakura, to assist in crime prevention, to improve the safety of the community and to enhance the quality of life for a diverse range of ethnicities. For the period 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 the total patrol hours were 1,311 hours and the 2 vehicles travelled a total of 5398 kilometres. As well as a total of 2,559 hours of non-patrolling work in the community. The patrol is active 6 days a week and covers the business, industrial, residential and rural areas from Takanini in the north to Drury in the south, Clevedon in the east and Karaka Lakes in the west.
