Paekakariki Informed Community Incorporated

OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY 1. To provide a voice for diverse sectors within Paekakariki through the medium of Paekakariki FM radio and other society projects, in particular for working people, unemployed people, tangata whenua, retired people, the gay community and young people who may be less likely to have secured mainstream integration with the wider community 2. To encourage an awareness of the Paekakariki community, its history, and its strengths. To encourage participation and support of all things Paekakariki. To secure a stronger collective image of Paekakariki by all residents, and its place in the greater region and beyond. 3. To provide the community with relevant news, information, analysis and opinion 4. To re-establish a region-wide image of Paekakariki as a unique, exciting, relaxing, friendly, long established coastal community, inhabited by a diverse population who are bound together by close community ties.
