Oamaru Pacific Island Community Incorporated

The Society is established and maintained exclusively for charitable purposes, including advancing education by promoting cultural awareness and preserving the heritage of the Pacific Island community, providing advisory support to protect its cultural legacy, and advancing religion and spirituality by offering social, cultural, and spiritual guidance. The Society also operates for the benefit of the community by promoting customs and languages, cooperating with similar groups, supporting OPIT’s objectives, and fundraising to enhance the wellbeing of the community. It develops and implements policies to achieve its aims, ensuring that all income, benefits, or advantages are used solely to advance its charitable purposes, with no personal gain to members beyond reasonable payments for goods or services that support the Society’s objectives.
