To promote New Zealand gardens, excellence in gardening and in garden education, including the following: - Developing and maintaining a database register and website of New Zealand gardens - Promoting the New Zealand Open Garden sector Plant Collections and Leadership in gardening - Maintaining and developing relationships with related entities and in particular Tourism New Zealand, the tourism industry and the RNZIH - Representing and advocating for the Open Garden sector generally and specifically with the RNZIH, local and regional authorities and the horticultural industry.
