North Canterbury Mini Bus Trust is a Trust charity in the Health sector, based in Kaiapoi, Kaiapoi. Annual revenue: $0.3M NZD. Financial data as at March 2025.
Mission: Our mission statement is " To provide virtually free transport for the Elderly and Disabled of North Canterbury". Established in 1986 we identified a need for special purpose vehicles (wheel chair hoist equipped) for this district. We provide these specialized vehicles for the elderly and disabled to travel from their homes to schools, day care centre's, and shopping bus trips where no other services or special vehicles are available. The vehicles are also available for hire by qualifying users such as organizations, clubs (stroke club etc) and individuals at very affordable rates. Having a viable, dignified and affordable means of transport allows people who have retired and can not transport themselves the ability to remain in their own homes rather than relocate to the city. This has the important spin-off in helping to maintain the commercial viability of the small business of the local towns. We also transport patients to and from Ch.Ch.
