(from our constitution) 4. Objectives (Purpose) 4.1 In conducting its objectives, Wairoa Taiwhenua will act for the collective benefit and wellbeing of all Members. The purposes of Wairoa Taiwhenua are to provide, promote, and support initiatives for the benefit of Members within Aotearoa that are charitable according to the laws of Aotearoa, including but not limited to: (a) The relief, support, and advancement of the wellbeing of all Members — physically, mentally, spiritually, culturally, socially, and economically. (b) The advancement of education, training, employment, and lifelong learning opportunities for whänau, hapü, and marae. (c) The protection, restoration, sustainable management, and enhancement of the natural environment, resources, and taonga within Te Wairoa, including land, waterways, moana, airspace, flora, and fauna. (d) The preservation, revitalisation, and celebration of Ngäti Kahungunu identity, reo, tikanga, kawa, mätauranga Mäori, whanaungatanga, marae and hapü
