Mission: The aims of the Trust are to provide a public benefit through the relief of poverty by providing interest free loans to those people that are in need. In particular: - To provide interest-free loans as an ethical and low cost alternative to high-interest lenders. - To assist in breaking the cycle of debt and to foster financial literacy and independence among individuals and families in the low-income bracket. - To be a long term, viable source of funding for people in need. In this regard, the Trust acknowledges that the viability is highly dependent on the co-operation and support of the budgeting services and their advisers. Timely loan repayments are crucial in the trust being able to recycle loans. If repayments are not made then it will be difficult for the Trust to remain viable for any meaningful period of time. - To provide a model for similar organisations to be able to expand and adopt elsewhere.
