The New Zealand String Quartet Foundation was set up as a Trust to maintain and promote the New Zealand String Quartet, to purchase, manage and maintain musical instruments for use by members of the New Zealand String Quartet, and to enable the New Zealand String Quartet to undertake concert performances and educational engagements for the furtherance of music in New Zealand.
