To promote the participation of people with Down syndrome in their community. We do this by: • Providing information and support to families/whānau of people with Down syndrome throughout all the life stages. • Equipping and empowering people with Down syndrome and their families/whānau to build positive futures by enhancing their lives. • Raising awareness of Down syndrome in the wider community to promote rights, inclusion and best practice. • Reviewing policies and lobbying Government and other institutions • Developing self-advocacy and leadership skills for people with Down syndrome.
