"The objects of the Association are as follows: Through itself or through its Branches: (a) To support Chinese in Aotearoa New Zealand and to promote our mental, social, cultural and physical wellbeing by working together. (b) The ways we can work together include: (i) Voice: (ii) Community: (iii) Heritage: (iv) Sustainability: (c) To be and to remain non-political and non-religious. (d) Activities may include: • Chinese language schools and classes; • Establishing and maintaining History websites: • Research into our history; • Preserving our history; • Teaching our history to the wider community; • Educating Members about their cultural identity through leadership development; • Learning and preserving our culture including food, cultural performances, arts and crafts. (e) Our Association recognises Cantonese as our heritage language.
