To work towards the prevention and elimination of violence and in particular to support the rights of adults and children to care and protection. To provide: • Community Advocacy • Residential Services - Safe emergency, temporary accommodation • Domestic Violence Education programmes for adults and tamariki children • Family Support and Advocacy Services for vulnerable, at risk, families and individuals • Services to isolated, rural women and children suffering, experiencing or witnessing violence and abuse • Sexual Abuse Specialists for victims of sexual abuse - crisis and historical • Ministry of Justice Safety Services for protected adults and children • Integrated Safety Response - Family Harm Practitioners responding to high and low risk victims • Public Awareness - Family Violence Training • Court support specialist services to provide information, advocacy, psycho-social support that survivors require through the criminal justice system
