Methven Search and Rescue Incorporated

To engage in activities involving searching, rescuing and recovery of missing persons in an area bounded specifically by the main divide of the Southern Alps and the east coast, the Rangitata river in the South and the Rakaia river in the north, but generally in any area where the services of the organization shall be required. To communicate, co-operate and co-ordinate with other organizations and to provide assistance to Civil defense, Police and Fire and Emergency NZ when such assistance shall be requested or required. To participate in field exercises and training days. To engage in fund raising activities to further the objectives of the society. To undertake and/or participate in recreational, sporting and social activities for the benefit of its members. To take on lease, purchase or give security over real property. To generally engage in activities to serve the interests of the citizens of Methven and its surrounding district.
